From mid January to early February 2023 the Appalachian Tenkara Anglers Facebook group held a Winter Kebari Swap. It was a gathering of fly tyers that required each participant to tie (at least) a dozen flies, mail them in to the swapmaster with a self-addressed stamped envelope to be divided up and parceled out to be returned.
In the end, 28 different people participated and Don Lux did an excellent job organizing and running the exchange. Since so many people tied, not everybody received the same patterns in return, which I really think is a cool aspect of this swap… it kind of kept you guessing!
To show off some of these wonderful kebari, I decided to do an “unboxing” video to reveal what I received in this installment of Things I Like. As you’ll see, there are some really fishy flies in this assortment!
