This is a big week of travel for the Tenkara Angler crew, so we’re setting the our “out of office” notification here at the website!
Wyoming
First off, we’ve got Amanda, Bill, & Tom traveling to the DRAGONtail Wyoming Tenkara Campout 2026 to hopefully meet and hang out with a bunch of Tenkara Angler readers. If last year’s version in Idaho is any indicator, this should be an epic weekend of fixed line fly fishing! We hope everyone that goes has a wonderful time and says “hello” to the crew that’s attending. We love meeting like-minded anglers, so please introduce yourself!
Nikko
As for the other half of the gang, Anthony, Matt, & I are leaving for Japan… and if you’re reading this sometime on Friday the 28th, we’re probably somewhere over the Pacific Ocean. We’re touching down in Tokyo on Saturday afternoon, before meeting up with our friends Hiro & Takashi for a week of fishing and sightseeing in Nikko. I have to head back right at the end of Labor Day weekend, but both Anthony & Matt are extending their stays a bit, so there should be lots of adventures to share. It’s the rainy season, so not exactly sure what that means for fishing. At least there’s always sake.
In the meantime, we have at least one post from Bill (also featuring travel) scheduled to publish next week, and perhaps we’ll drop some photos from abroad here and on our social media accounts. Talk soon!
