A Call For Submissions for the 2026 Print Issue
As we reach the first day of October, I thought today would be a good time to extend invitations to our readership for submissions to our annual print issue of Tenkara Angler magazine. For those only familiar with our digital content, we’re talking a physical magazine, made of paper.
Our print issue comes out around the new year, typically a slower time in the fishing calendar. You can purchase or digitally view the 2025 and 2024 versions here, as well as older back-issues. Those print magazines were so well-received, it’s time to do another.
So, help Tenkara Angler continue to be the community’s platform to tell your tenkara stories, trip reports, and gear reviews… display photos and artwork… share some fly tying recipes… and perhaps toss in an interview, “how to”, or D.I.Y. for good measure. As long as the topic is tenkara, fixed line fly fishing, or conservation in nature, it’s all fair game.

If you’re interested, check out our Submission Guidelines page for more general details. You can submit words, photos, art, or whatever you feel appropriate using the form on that page. Or if preferred, send in your text and image submissions via email directly to staff@tenkaraangler.com.
The submission deadline for the 2026 issue of Tenkara Angler will be Friday November 21st, 2025.
(Sounds like a lot of time, but if you tend to procrastinate like me, it’ll be here before you know it!)
