Zen Tenkara (also branded as Zen Fly Fishing Gear) was founded in 2012 by Karin Miller, a passionate angler who relocated from South Florida to Colorado and discovered tenkara as the perfect way to fish local mountain streams. From that insight, Zen Tenkara was born and is now widely recognized as one of the pioneers of what Karin defines as, “American Tenkara.”
Zen has earned a reputation for blending tenkara’s traditional simplicity with innovative high-performance design, catering to both small stream trout and large powerful fish seldom targeted with fixed-line methods.
