Hey… haven’t done this in a few years, but thought I’d open up a last minute cover photo contest for the Summer 2019 issue of Tenkara Angler magazine.
All you need to do to enter is email a high resolution photo (best you’ve got) to mike@tenkaraangler.com, using the subject line “COVER CONTEST.” Preferably, the photo is “portrait” (vertical) in nature, and not “landscape” (horizontal), but it is not necessary. Photos of landscapes, anglers, fish releases, you name it. Even if you’re not selected for the cover, I’ll still include in the magazine in a special contest article. The deadline for the cover contest will be Saturday, June 22nd.
The winner of the contest will win some surprise tenkara swag – which I’ll say is valued at more than a couple flies, but less than an Oni Type I rod. 🙂
Oh, and also, I had a few people contact me asking for a few more days on the content submission deadline for the Summer issue (it was last Friday), so figured I’d give the same courtesy to all since I have plenty in which to get started. As such, I’ve extended the general submission deadline another week – Friday, June 14th for the Summer issue.
So, if you have any photos, trip reports, stories, gear reviews, product announcements, artwork, whatever… as long as it’s tenkara, fixed-line, or conservation related from the past few months of fishing, send ’em in, would love to include in the next issue. Details can be found in this link.
