Poem by Tommy Aytheson
I go to the river
not to find fish, but to find myself
And it is there in my perfected surroundings
that I gaze upon the face of god
and It speaks to me in a soft and soothing voice
I am at once annihilated in It
I become the mountain, the river, the fish, and none of those things
I become insignificant
and that is the greatest thing I can become
Tommy Aytheson is an aspiring fisherman in the tenkara tradition. Omahogs superfan.
