It took over an month, (and I’m sure there’s still some typos here and there)… but the Winter 2021-22 issue of Tenkara Angler is finally published and available for purchase!

The only way I can describe this issue is that it’s a BEAST. Over 120 pages of content, literally sourced from all around the world!
An Overview…
The first section features stories of Conservation, looking at specific species of trout as well as grassroots clean up operations. Next we head into Essay, which takes us all over the United States from mountains to meadows, rivers to lakes. Then we take a International trip to Japan, Italy, Canada, and Switzerland! Gear heads can rejoice with some article on flies and fly tying, as well as general everyday carry equipment. Then we wrap up fishing the Riffles and viewing some wonderful reader art & photography.
Familiar and new contributors include: Aaron Fleming, Amanda Hoffner, Ana Echenique MD, Andrea Crobu, Anthony Naples, Arran Kerr, Bernhardt Niedermair, Bill Holleran, Bill Robichaud, Corina Cathomen, Daniele Beaulieu, Dave Noll, Dennis Vander Houwen, Jared Willadsen, Jim Tignor, Jon Carver, Joshua Brooks, Karin Miller, Mark Langford, Martin Montejano, Matt Sment, Nick Feller, Paul Vertrees, Philip Tipton, Rachael Rosenstein, Richard Mozer, Rob Langford, Rory Glennie, Satsuki Tanaka, Spencer Mortensen, Stephen Langford, Thomas Niedermair, and Tristan Kloss.
For now, this issue is only available as a physical magazine and/or PDF download in the Blurb bookstore, HERE.
An Unfortunate Reality…
If you’d like to order a physical copy, I’ll be honest, it’s a bit expensive. This issue is 120 pages and will retail for $30 as costs went up since the last time we did one, and print-on-demand isn’t cheap. (Full transparency, we only make a few $ an issue.). But I will say, and as those that have bought prior issues can attest, this Premium issue is a really high quality, heavy paper stock. Not a read & recycle/discard sort of magazine. She’s a keeper. There’s a lesser quality version I can also post for purchase if there’s interest, but typically don’t as I’m not personally a fan of the end product.
Based on prior experience, it takes about a week or two to print, ship, and deliver the physical copies. Hopefully the holidays won’t impact that schedule too much.
More to Come…
For those that are fans of free stuff, we will look to add the Winter 2021-22 issue to the “free” Issuu e-magazine reader, (as in the past), as well as publish articles to Tenkara Angler itself sometime shortly after the New Year.
Happy Holidays, and enjoy!
