DRAGONtail Tenkara NIRVANA Rotary Fly Tying Vise

DRAGONtail Tenkara & its family of brands are known for dependable performance, value focused price points, and innovative designs. Their new NIRVANA rotary fly tying vise looks focused on the same principles in a bold and colorful way! It definitely has an exciting set of features for the price.

DRAGONtail Tenkara NIRVANA Rotary Vise - Tenkara Angler - Colors

Here is what we know so far:

The NIRVANA vise is available in five colors: Olive, Purple, Teal Blue, Lime Green, and Red. This true rotary vise has a smooth bearing system with fully adjustable tension. Additionally, the large “V” shape of the vise arm and the jaws leave the fly tyer with a big open space to work with materials and even wrap from behind the hook. An adjustable arm and a bobbin holder help streamline the overall workspace.

The vises are expected to ship by the end of March and come in 3 base configurations. The dual base deluxe model will retail at an extremely reasonable $149.99 – but can be pre-ordered now for $109. The pedestal base ($134.99/$99.99 pre-order) and table clamp ($124.99/$89.99 preorder) models are both available for purchase separately. Any of those options appear to be a great value for the features.

Tenkara Angler is looking forward to trying out these new vises and will fill you in as soon as we get the chance. Meantime, enjoy this feature & benefit video that gives a closer look!

One more thing…

If you consider purchasing the NIRVANA rotary vise to tie a whole bunch of new kebari, you may also want to add one of the new NIRVANA silicone insert fly boxes with Tenkara Angler’s own Anthony Naples‘ artistic touch to your order. We think it makes for the perfect compliment for the avid fly tyer.

  1. Informative review Matt, thank you. I wish this vice would have become available sooner….I had to sell a Taurus Model 85 to purchase my Renzetti Traveler. It was great getting to know you at the Tenkara Camp in the Smokes in April.
    Best regards my friend,
    Steve
