Call For Submissions for the 2023-24 Print Issue
While there is plenty of time left in this calendar year to get out on the water, I thought today would be a good time to extend invitations to our readership to consider contributing an entry to the annual print issue of Tenkara Angler magazine. I’m certain there are many great stories, stunning photos, and winning fly patterns from your 2023 adventures to share.
To our newer readers, Tenkara Angler started as a “crowdsourced” quarterly online and physical print magazine and ran consistently from Fall 2015 to Spring 2020. We took a brief hiatus, but resumed with the publication of annual print issues in 2022 & 2023.
The Details
Tenkara Angler was created as platform to tell your tenkara stories, trip reports, and gear reviews… display photos and artwork… share some fly tying recipes… and perhaps toss in an interview, “how to”, or D.I.Y. for good measure. As long as the topic is tenkara, fixed line fly fishing, or conservation-centric, it’s all fair game.
If you’re interested, check out our Submission Guidelines page for more general details. You can submit words, photos, art, or whatever you feel appropriate using the form on that page. Or if easier, send in your submissions via email directly to staff@tenkaraangler.com.
Note: The submission deadline for the 2023-24 issue of Tenkara Angler will be Friday, November 24th, 2023.
(Sounds like a lot of time, but if you tend to procrastinate like me, it’ll be here before you know it!)
