Well, my daughter is off at college, and my wife was out of the house, so when I checked the mail yesterday to find a small package from DRAGONtail Tenkara on my doorstep it provided the ideal opportunity to make a silly unboxing video.
In this video, I first take a look at my trusted Daiwa folding net, a product that has served me well for several years, but is a little worse for wear today. Then, I unbox the new NIRVANA folding damo net, and compare the two side by side. Will the NIRVANA be an adequate replacement? Only time will tell, but the video gives some first impressions…

Michael, excellent video! Very nice net, and a rubberized scoop is a very good design. I wish Brent would do a bigger version of this net. Say 13 inch diameter and 16 inch deep scoop. That would be useful for 13-16 inch fish. In my opinion this 25cm (10 inch) with 10 inch scoop is for 12 inch or smaller fish… 12 inch trout can be handled with Lamson Ketchum Release without any problem, I do not use a net for them (same as on Tom Davis videos). But this damo net can be useful if you want to take a picture of the fish!
