The team at Tenkara Angler was saddened to learn that Mr. Yuzo Sebata passed away on Thursday, August 22nd at the age of 83. Sebata san was one of the most well-known and recognizable tenkara anglers in Japan, focusing on exploring, educating and preserving mountain lifestyle. Many of his lessons concentrated on naturalism, living with the land, and of course, genryu tenkara.
As such, today’s Sunday Morning Riffles are dedicated to Sebata san, and feature many different articles and videos that we were able to find from around the internet. We hope you enjoy today’s installment as we celebrate his life and influence on the activity we all love.
