The Tenkara Angler crew wanted to wish all our readers a Happy New Year! Thank you for spending time with us in 2024, be it on this website, in the pages of the print magazine, watching YouTube videos, listening to the Level Line podcast, interacting on social media, or even if we crossed paths in person at any of the tenkara-themed events or gatherings. We love being part of the greater fixed line community, and are looking forward to bringing you more informational content, fishing stories, and fun in 2025!
In the meantime, we’ve put a few resources together to get your year off to a great start.
2025 events are being scheduled…
First, check out our Events page. We’ve started to receive information on tenkara-gatherings that will be taking place this upcoming spring and are logging them here. (If you are planning your own event or gathering, please let us know using the form at the bottom of the Events page.)

Enter our tenkara art contest…
Next, and more of a reminder, there are still a few days left to enter our “Paint Matt’s Adventure Van” contest, where you can win a tenkara prize pack including a rod, a copy of the upcoming 2025 print issue, and Tenkara Angler swag. The deadline for entries is January 5th, so don’t sleep on this opportunity!
