It’s my pleasure to announce that the Spring 2018 issue of Tenkara Angler magazine is now live!
This issue covers several topics that run the entire “ten colors” spectrum. A look at Yuzo Sebata by Paul Gaskell, tactics from Tom Davis, Karin Miller, & Jim Wright, gear commentary from Adam Rieger, Chris Stewart, & Stephen Myers, and a wonderful piece by Bob Long on how to fixed-line fly fish for smallmouth bass. Brad Trumbo & Landon Brasseur also make their first appearances in our pages. Welcome aboard!
In addition, you’ll find all the phenomenal essays, destination stories, photography, humor etc… from Melissa Alcorn, Christopher Seep, Daniele Beaulieu, John-Paul Povilaitis, and Dean Price that you’re accustomed to reading in each issue.
As usual, it will be available as a free e-magazine over at Issuu, HERE.
And also available for sale as a physical magazine and PDF download in the Blurb bookstore, HERE.
Believe it or not, it’s mid-February already, and even though January went by ridiculously fast and it feels like the Winter issue of Tenkara Angler was just released, I figured it was time to officially extend the “call for submissions” for the Spring 2018 issue.
I’ve certainly been itching to get out on the water again, it’s just starting to warm up a bit where I live, so I think it’s time for all those flies I tied to get wet.
If you’re feeling the same, we’d love to hear what you’ve got to say – any and all topics are fair game – fishing reports, gear reviews, destination travel, essays, poetry, fiction, photography, art, whatever – as long as it’s tenkara or conservation related. Similar to prior issues, the tenkara community will craft the contents of the issue.
(And don’t forget, if you are a company that submits content, please don’t hesitate to also submit an ad for your services, inclusion is the least I can do).
If you are interested in contributing, I’ve outlined some simple parameters for content submission HERE.
The deadline for content submission will be March 9th, 2018 (give or take a few days), with the target publishing date toward the end of that same month.
