Is fishing for panfish like bluegill really considered “tenkara?”
Probably not, but it’s heck of a lot of fun to do with a tenkara rod!
Couldn’t help but notice over the past few weeks that Bart Lombardo, author of the blog Panfish on the Fly, (and Tenkara Angler magazine contributor), has been making some very prominent podcast rounds.
First featured on the “Tenkara Cast” with Daniel Galhardo…
Then later featured on the “Orvis Fly Fishing Guide Podcast” with Tom Rosenbauer…
So if you don’t live somewhere with trout, or heck, even if you do and just want to enjoy some panfish fun, give these two podcasts a listen. Bart is very well-spoken and clearly passionate about the subject. They’re both really, really good.
