Did you see the new NIRVANA Sling Pack that was released today?

Looks like quite a bit of thought was put into this one to make it not only a good fly fishing sling pack, but excellent for tenkara as well.
Here are some features, that sort of outline what I’m getting at…
- Rod carry straps to secure a rod or tube in transit (or a spare while fishing)
- Long handle net sleeve & net clip loop
- Built in tippet holder loop and accessory lanyard
- Tons of pockets and large main compartment capacity
- Water resistant material

Perhaps the most interesting item is the fact that the water bottle holder can also double as a “hands-free” tenkara rod holder for when you may need to use two hands to change flies or replace tippet. Certainly better than laying your rod on a streamside rock or awkwardly tucking under your arm.

In any event, it’s worth looking at if you’re considering a new way to haul your gear on stream. The NIRVANA sling pack carries a $79.99 MSRP, but is currently value priced at $59.99. According to the email I received from DRAGONtail Tenkara, if you use the coupon code sling20 now through April 11th, you’ll save an extra $20 on top of that!
$39.99 for a new sling pack, how can you go wrong?

That price was too good to pass on. 🙂
I hear you Dave. I don’t THINK need a new sling pack myself. Then again…
I went for the Teal color.
