I got to spend some time on the water with the TalonMINI this past weekend in the mountains of Georgia. I thought it would be a perfect place to test drive a rod that has created quite the stir among anglers anxiously awaiting its release. Fortunately, more than a few wild rainbow trout thought it was a good idea too.
In the following video Rod Report of the DRAGONtail TalonMINI, I’m going to take you through a brief overview of the pocket rod, and more importantly tell you how it fishes. (Including a little bit of awkward fishing footage tossed in there to boot). Enjoy!
How Do I Buy One?
At the time of writing, we’re told a limited batch of TalonMINIs are going to be released in mid-July at a very low price. If this rod interests you, it would be wise to hop on those as soon as they’re released. (Don’t worry, we’ll let you know, subscribe here to be among the first with the news). After that intial batch sells out, and it will… DRAGONtail will begin taking pre-orders for the next run of TalonMINIs to be shipped this Fall.
