Two Week Warning: 2022-23 Print Issue Submissions

It seems like just yesterday that we put out the “call to action” for submissions for the 2022-23 print issue of Tenkara Angler. (Actually, it was almost a month ago, I had to double check). Unfortunately, time waits for no angler, and as I look at the calendar today, I realized that there’s only two weeks remaining until the November 25th deadline!

We’re Off to a Good Start

Now I must say, we have received a bunch of excellent articles and photos to date (THANK YOU!). These include trip reports, essays, poetry, and an interesting piece of gear I know you’re going to want to read all about. But do you know what we probably don’t have… Your story!

Now’s the Time!

New friends and old acquaintances, if you’re interested in seeing your stories, photography, fly tying recipes, or gear reviews in our annual print issue, let’s make it happen!

All of the details regarding submissions can be found HERE. Should you have any questions regarding content contributions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at, we’ll be happy to help you develop or refine a concept. We want to make this process as simple and enjoyable as possible.

And a reminder to all of the Brands in the tenkara community… this “call to action” includes you as well! In addition to being excellent retailers, many of you are accomplished anglers. Consider writing up a story and let’s use this issue as a way to highlight your brand heading into 2023. (I mean it is virtually free advertising… *cough, cough*)

Editor’s Note:

As you may have noticed by the embedded video, we recently gave Jason the keys to the Tenkara Angler Instagram account… and he’s been very active uncovering all the fun that reels and stories can bring. So if you don’t follow Tenkara Angler on Instagram, please make sure to check us out!

Do you have a story to tell? A photo to share? A fly recipe that’s too good to keep secret? If you would like to contribute content to Tenkara Angler, click HERE for more details.
