Kris Franqui is passionate about fly fishing for trout in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness in Southern Montana. He spends most of the summer on solo backpacking trips, deep in the 944,000 acre wilderness trying to reach as many of the 300+ fishable lakes as he can. His journeys along the countless streams, rivers, creeks and lakes in search of numerous trout species such as brook trout, rainbow trout, brown trout, cutthroat trout, and golden trout are documented on his YouTube channel, Tenkara on the Trail.
